Anti-wrinkle tips for cotton linings

As a common clothing material, polyester fiber lining has the following advantages and disadvantages:

Advantages

1. Strong durability: Polyester fibers have high strength and elasticity, so they are durable, wrinkle-resistant, do not need ironing, and have good light resistance. In addition, polyester fibers have good resistance to various chemicals, are less damaged by acids and alkalis, and are not afraid of mildew or insect infestation.

2. Easy to care: Polyester fiber fabrics are prone to static electricity, so they can be soaked and washed with softener. In addition, it has constant size, and the fabric itself determines that it has no ductility, will not deform, and maintains its flatness for a long time.

3. Versatility: Polyester fibers can be spun purely, or blended with natural fibers such as cotton, wool, silk, and linen and other chemical fibers to make imitation wool, imitation cotton, imitation silk, and imitation linen fabrics with various colors, strong and scratch-resistant, easy to wash and dry, no ironing, and good wash and wear performance.

4. Wrinkle resistance and warmth retention: Polyester fibers have good wrinkle resistance and durability, can withstand the friction of daily wear and washing, and increase the durability of clothing. At the same time, it can be made into materials with warm-keeping functions through technical means, such as thickened polyester fiber lining, which can provide good warm-keeping effects in cold environments.

Disadvantages

1. Poor air permeability and hygroscopicity: Polyester fiber has poor hygroscopicity, weak water absorption, poor melting resistance, and is easy to absorb dust. It has poor air permeability and is not easy to breathe. This may cause the wearer to feel uncomfortable in hot weather or during exercise because sweat is not easily absorbed and evaporated.

2. Easy to generate static electricity: Polyester fiber is prone to static electricity in winter, which may affect comfort.

3. Poor dyeing performance: Polyester fiber also has poor dyeing performance and needs to be dyed with disperse dyes at high temperatures, which is more troublesome.

4. May cause discomfort: Although polyester fiber generally does not cause allergies, some people with sensitive skin may have discomfort reactions to it.

In summary, polyester fiber lining performs well in durability, ease of care and versatility, but has certain shortcomings in air permeability, hygroscopicity and static electricity. Whether to choose to use polyester fiber lining needs to be determined according to specific needs and usage scenarios.
